Confirmation is about TRANSFORMATION not GRADUATION

WHAT IS CONFIRMATION?
The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation
(the others being Baptism & Eucharist), wherein the candidate is anointed by the bishop and therefore recieves a special call to serve Christ in closer unity with Him. The confirmed Christian is empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as a disciple of Christ in the world today & standing up for what the Church teaches.

CONFIRMATION PREREQUISITES 
Before your child can begin the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation they must...

1) Your family must be REGISTERED at Christ Our King.
    If your family isn't registered please register HERE.

2) Have received the Sacrament of Baptism, Reconciliation, & Eucharist.
    If they haven't please contact Ashley Arominski ASAP.
 
3) Have completed at least a year of faith formation the year prior to beginning Confirmation Prep.
    For most that means attending 7th-grade faith formation classes or attending a Catholic School.
    If you have recently moved to Christ Our King from another parish please have the parish email
    Ashley letting her know your teen was involved in faith formation prior to this year. 

CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION
All teens who want to be confirmed at COK must fill out a registration form. 
This includes students at COK-SM. 
Register online for Confirmation HERE. (You must Register by AUGUST 18th)

AS PART OF REGISTRATION PLEASE TURN IN THE FOLLOWING BEFORE THE ORIENATION MEETING
Baptismal Certificate 
If your child was not baptized or received 1st holy communion at COK we will need a copy of his/her baptismal certificate. If your child was baptized or received 1st holy communion at COK then we already have his/her baptismal certificate on file. 
- Please turn in your child's baptismal certificate into the mailbox outside the Beach House. 
     
Sacramental Fee
The Sacramental Fee for Confirmation is $90. If you have an additional child beign confirmed it is $110.
You can pay by check to "Christ Our King Catholic Church" (Memo: Confirmation) or pay by Venmo @christourkingmtpl (Last 4 Digits: 7083) Please write in the Memo: Confirmation.
- Please turn in your check into the mailbox outside the Beach House. 

Sponsor Information Form
We want your child to have a sponsor at the beginning of this year of preparation for Confirmation. 
Because of this we need you & your child to discuss choosing a sponsor.
Click on the form HERE. Read, discuss, pray, & ask your sponsor.
If you want to submit this form before the Orienation Meeting click HERE for the online form.
Note: If your child is struggling to find a sponsor let Ashley know. She can connect you with someone.

Confirmation Orientation Meeting
Confirmation Candidates MUST have at least 1 parent/guardian attend with them.
Confirmation Candidates MUST have the following turned in before the Orientation Meeting:
      Online Registration Form, Sacramental Fee, Copy of Baptismal Certificate, & Sponsor Information Form

    Public School/High School Students at 1:00pm-2:30pm (You Can Attend Noon Mass Together as Family)
    COKSM Students at 5:00pm-6:30pm (You Can Attend 7pm Mass Together as Family)
